The processing is\ndeemed necessary to fulfil the legal obligation incumbent on the Controller\n(the legal obligation, in particular, gives rise from, either, the Act of July\n20, 2018 \u2013 Law on Higher Education and Science; the Act of July 16, 2016 \u2013\nTelecommunications Law, the Act of February 17, 2005, on the computerisation of\nthe activities of entities performing public tasks);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Improving the quality of services;\nthe Controller processes statistical information regarding the use of the\nwebsite \u2013 art. 6 par. 1(f) of the GDPR (the legitimate interest of the Controller\nconsisting in facilitating the use of the site, improving both the quality and\nfunctionality of the services rendered);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sending the newsletter \u2013 art. 6 par.\n1(a) of the GDPR (based on the consent of the data subject);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Joining the media mailing list \u2013 art.\n6 par. 1(a) of the GDPR (based on the consent of the data subject);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You may withdraw your consent to\npersonal data processing at any time through sending an e-mail at lawreview.wpia.uw.edu.pl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We want to remind you,\nsimultaneously, that your withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness\nof the processing which has been carried out based on your consent before its\nwithdrawal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We may also process your personal\ndata to perform a task in the public interest (Art. 6 par. 1(e) of the GDPR),\nas well as in justified cases we will process your personal data for purposes\nresulting from legitimate interests pursued by the Controller (Art. 6 par. 1(f)\nof the GDPR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Personal data recipients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Access to your personal data will be\ngranted to both authorised employees and associates of the University of Warsaw\nwho must process your data as regards the task being carried out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recipients of data may also be\nentities whom the Controller will instruct the performance of certain\nactivities, which involves the need to process personal data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In order to ensure proper protection\nof personal data, a contract on entrusting personal data processing has been\nsigned with these recipients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Personal data retention period<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will process your personal data\nuntil the purpose for which the data has been collected is satisfied, and\nsubsequently, in cases which require it for the period indicated in the Act of\nJuly 14, 1983, on the national archival resource and archives (Journal of Laws\nof 2018 item 217, as amended), as well as in the provisions of the\nTelecommunications Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Rights related to data processing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We guarantee you the exercise any\nand all of your rights on the terms laid down by the GDPR, i.e., the right to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>access to data and receive a copy\nthereof;<\/li><li>rectify (correct) your personal\ndata;<\/li><li>limit personal data processing;<\/li><li>delete personal data (subject to\nArt. 17 par. 3 of the GDPR);<\/li><li>lodge a complaint with the President\nof the Office for Data Protection, if you believe that personal data processing\nviolates the law on the protection of personal data.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Obligation to provide data and the\nconsequence of failure to provide thereof<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Providing data which is under\nprocessing in connection with the satisfaction of a legal obligation is deemed\nmandatory; in the case of data processing based on consent to the processing of\npersonal data, providing data is voluntary. Failure to provide data may,\neither, impede or prevent the achievement of the objectives indicated\nhereinabove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The privacy policy may be\nsupplemented or updated following the current needs of the Controller in order\nto provide up-to-date and reliable information to users regarding their\npersonal data and information thereon.
